Mark Domyahn, President, Pursuance Consulting
Mark is President of Pursuance Consulting, which provides health economic and reimbursement (HE&R) strategy and guidance for medical device companies of all sizes. Pursuance Consulting has been in the health care space for 23 years, and Mark has over 13 years of HE&R experience. He has successfully gained positive coverage, established new codes and secured incremental payment for multiple medical technologies. Additionally, he has developed various economic messages for key medical products, including developing field tools demonstrating the potential financial impact at the customer level.
Previously, Mar was the Senior Director, Public Health Plans and Reimbursement at St. Jude Medical, and was responsible for leading policy and reimbursement activities for the entire St. Jude Medical product portfolio. These activities included working collaboratively with various stakeholders to secure adequate coverage, coding and payment for St. Jude Medical technologies and therapies as well as developing economic value propositions for payers, hospitals and physicians.
Mark has served in several healthcare economic leadership roles in various medical device companies previous to St. Jude Medical including Zimmer, Medtronic, Restore Medical and CardioMEMS. Prior to these roles, Mark spent 10 years in health care consulting, assisting payers, providers, pharmaceutical and medical device companies on various strategic initiatives and projects. He has a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus on Healthcare Administration from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Minnesota State University – Moorhead.
